Join Netball Team in Prahran – How to Get Started with the Sport
If you have pored over our blog posts here at Melbourne Social Netball, you have probably discovered the wide variety of benefits for both individuals and groups that the sports has to offer. It is highly likely that you have said to yourself “I can picture myself enjoying this.” If you do want to join netball team in Prahran or our different venues, including the one at Riverside Golf and Tennis Centre, here’s how you can get started.
If you are an individual
If you can’t find enough players to join you to form your own netball team, you can join one of our Team Building Teams or TBT. This will make things a whole lot easier for you.
TBTs are either ladies or mixed teams that individuals can join. We’ll place you in one social netball team composed of players with the same skill levels as you are, whether you are just starting out or you are looking to get back into netball.
To join, you (and your friends) need to fill up an application form. From there, you need to select your preferred venue and the night you wish to play. Afterwards, take note of the first team name and choose between ladies or mixed combinations. Make sure that you jot down the important details. Next, pay the required fee and download your receipt. Send us a copy of your receipt and fill in the required fields.
Take note that you can join TBTs with friends fewer than five.
If you are a group
On the other hand, if you have five or more pals who can join you in playing netball, you can all apply as one team.
The first step you need to do is to collect the personal and contact information of the people who’ll be on your team. Once you have obtained this information, select the season length at the venue icon. This will show how many games you need to compete in. Next, pay the required fees and download your receipt. Next, upload the receipt and complete the application form. You can start filling in the application form when you have a minimum of five players. However, you still need to add more players and input their details afterwards.
Before actually playing, it is worthwhile to learn which type of clothing is permitted and which ones are not, as well as the game materials that you should have. Learning about the game and rules also helps, although our umpire and the whole community of netball enthusiasts will be ready to teach you the finer points of the game.
